[Gazette Headline] Episode 39 Preview details and Conclusions!

Yesterday, 23.10.2020 The Devs did a Preview stream of the new upcoming DLC "Long Live The Legion" which is the 39th Episode in number of DC Universe Online. The structure of this Episode is very different compered to other episodes. Continuing with the open world bosses stuff like in Wonderverse (Episode 38), the Devs are putting Four open world bosses and one big bad is apart of them. There are more open world missions this time. Around seven open world missions. For On Duty, there will be no solo or Duo this time. There will be alert, plus elite version of the alert, one raid and elite version of the raid. While it seems really different compare to other episodes, it might actually work out pretty well.

The refreshments for this episode are Beast Boy and Static:

The newest additions are Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, Emerald Empress, Brainiac 5 (Briefly), Modru and Validus. In collections and such various members of the Legion are mentioned. But aren't shown in the Episode. Supergirl also coming back for this Episode, directing the players from the beginning.

The styles in this episode are based on Cosmic Boy and Emerald Empress. (Event is Cosmic Boy, Emerald Empress is the Episode's gear):

And one more style that was revealed was Static's mask as OP Item!
You get the op item after completing the mission from Static (And need to upgrade it).

Quality of Life Changes:
- Vendor UI search has been made more easier to use. You can choose what you want to see and buy, rather than see everything in one big mess.
- Base Items limit in bases went up to 600 from 500!

So far I (Zoe) have ran the alert and open world, and I'm impressed so far. The lack of on duty content does not bother me. There is enough to do in the open world. It seems like the focus is moving to the open world either way. The story is exciting, and I honestly can't wait for it to hit live and for everyone to enjoy it!
